Phillip Hayse Willingham, age 71, of Carrollton, Texas, left his earthly home on Monday, the 4th day of August 2025 in Tyler, Texas with his family by his side. Mr. Willingham was born on the 17th day of October 1953, in Pasadena, Texas to parents Hayse Edgar Willingham and Ida Sue Sanders.

Mr. Willingham's passion for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He spent countless hours in nature, hunting and fishing, where he found peace, God, and contentment. Mr. Willingham was also a man who could fix anything, a trait that served him well in his many hours spent working in his garage. His hands were rarely still, as he was always busy doing something, creating, mending, or improving. His ability to solve problems was admired by many and will be sorely missed.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Ida Sue Sanders, and his sister, Janie Willingham.

Mr. Willingham is survived by his wife Melissa Willingham, together they built a family and a legacy that will continue to thrive through their children: Cherry Willingham, Autumn Marks, Joseph Willingham, and Nathan Willingham and his wife, Katy. He also leaves behind his parents Hayse and Jackie Willingham and brother, Steve Willingham. Mr. Willingham was a doting grandfather to three grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

Mr. Willingham will be laid to rest at Sardis Cemetery near Jewett, Texas.
