Philomena (Phyllis) was born June 14, 1930 in Buffalo, NY.
She met the love of her life, Michael, at just 12 years old in Auburn, NY. They were married on November 26th, 1949.
When Mike returned from service in the Korean War they started a family. They lived in Auburn NY, Danielson CT and in 1973 moved to Tempe AZ. They spent 30 years raising their children and nearly 62 years enjoying life together.
Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Kensington High School, Buffalo, NY in 1948. Prior to raising her children she worked as a secretary for Levy Jewelers, court stenographer for Social Welfare Auburn NY, secretary for Atomic Energy Commission and court secretary for Children and County Courts of NY.
She enjoyed travelling, particularly cruises. She was a member of several clubs including Tempe Welcome Wagon, Moonlighters, Red Hats and Harrah's Players club. She had a knack for helping family and friends with her knowledge of finances, real estate investments and her legal prowess. Above all else she loved her family.
She will be remembered for her vibrant character, her good food and her devotion to those she loved.
She is survived by her three children, Michael J. (Laurie), Judith Medrano (Joseph), Carolyn Sleeper (Scott), four grandchildren, Michael R. (Jaime), Lucas, Megan and Gina and youngest sister Lynn Smith (Bobby) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Michael F., parents Frank and Angeline Maraschiello, brother Tony (Jane) and sister Emily Consiglio (Tony).
