Born in Galway on February 2, 1945, daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (Sagatis) Yurkins. She was the devoted wife of Anthony Pasquale Iosue.

Jo-Anna worked in accounting as a bookkeeper for various businesses and was a homemaker.

Also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Tarryn and Lizzy and a nephew, Matthew (Jenny) Hudman. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Bollock, in addition to several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Born and raised on the family farm on Perth Rd and was a 1963 graduate of Galway High School; she then went on to attend Dean College in Massachusetts and graduated from there in 1965. After graduating she settled in Albany, NY.

In 1967 she met Tony, and they were married on May 2nd, 1970. Over their 53 years they resided in Latham NY, Glen Burnie MD, Voorheesville NY, Greensburg PA before settling in Lutz FL in 1997. In the summer of 2000, she and her husband became snowbirds, spending the last 23 summers on Galway Lake, where she served as Treasurer for the Grove homeowners association for the last 9 years.

Jo-Anna will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and her friends. Jo-Anna loved to be outside, on the water, tending to her yards in Florida and Galway Lake. She thrived on the energy of others and never missed an opportunity to turn the music up and dance. The holidays she would cook for days and invite anyone who would be alone to join in on her famous feasts.

Condolences to everyone, especially Tony and the family. I loved stopping by your camp for visit and hearing Jo-Anna´s stories about Galway. She seemed to know everything about the area. But more importantly, she was funny, practical and wise. And she was always advocating for what was right. I know the entire Maywood community will miss her, especially those who were lucky enough to get to know her. Tony, this stinks. Know we love you.

So sorry for your unexpected passing of your loving wife mother and grandmother, I know how much it hurts with the recent passings of my mother Pat Y. And my little brother Mark Y. This past year, but I can tell you that it does get a little easier as time heals us, now when my older brother and sisters get together we talk about all the good and funny things that they did or said ,one of my Memories of joanna was me asking my mother why she and her family talked so funny with there New York accents and Joanna and family would make jokes about our Boston accents while spending time on Cape Cod or Galway at her lake house, God bless you and your family and say hi to my parents and your parents aunt Bea and Uncle Joe, See you again some day.

Jo was a straight shooter and an excellent observer of people.
She was loyal to her friends and always enjoyed visiting on the
porch for conversation and a beverage. Loved her nachos.
Goodbye my friend.
