Phoebe Averitt Obituary
Phoebe worked several years as a bookkeeper at Greenwood High School, and was a devoted parishioner at Baptist Church in Greenwood, Indiana and Venice, Florida. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Phoebe is survived by her children, Pam (Joe) Anderson, Phil (Cherie) Averitt, Jeff (Rhonda) Averitt; grandchildren, Leah Averitt, Anthony (Julia) Anderson, Eric (Saki) Averitt, Shawn (April) Anderson, David Averitt, Stephen (Katie) Averitt, Daniel Averitt, Nathan Averitt, Thomas Averitt, Joshua Averitt; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Averitt.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood Indiana.
Arrangements are entrusted to Singleton & St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Indianapolis, Indiana.

We would like to send our love and condolences to the family and friends of Phoebe. We did not have the pleasure of knowing Phoebe but we will remember you all in our prayers and hope that you all can find comfort and love in each other as you remember the life Phoebe had and shared with you all
