Reynolds Hospice Home. Born to the late Charlie and Hadie Mustin on September 29, 1933, Phoebe was the youngest out of eight children. In her earlier years she worked in tobacco and at RJR. As a grandparent, in her later years, she took joy in caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren after school and during the summers. Friends and family affectionately knew her as Gramaw. She was a woman of Christian faith who enjoyed gospel music, hummingbirds and her family. While she will be missed, we find comfort in knowing that Gramaw has been reunited with Papa (husband Chester Hill), her parents, and her siblings, Althea, Bill, Edna, Elmer and Hubert.
Her memories will live on through her children, Karen Griffin, Gary (Jane) Hill and Tina (James) Blackwelder; grandchildren, Dale Avery, Clifton Avery, Kari (Jason) Fortune, her special caretaker Lindsay (Jason) Decker, Chancey Yonce and Kalef Blackwelder; great grandchildren, Eva, Lyla, Grayson and Atreyu; and sister, Betty Burton.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Gardens of Memory – Walkertown with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home - Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
