Phyllis Ann (Cheshire) Anderson, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Heritage Center surrounded by her family.
Phyllis was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 28, 1935 to the late John and Irene (Craig) Cheshire. She was a graduate of Central High School. After high school, Phyllis went to work at a bank. She would later go on to work at the Northbrook Shopping Center Baby Shop, as well as the Log Inn. Most recently, Phyllis worked as a secretary at St. Mary's Hospital Unit Six West where she retired from after ten years. She took pride in caring for her home and family. Phyllis was a wonderful cook and baker. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Crow (Jim) of Evansville, IN, Cathy Jackson (Kenny) of Evansville, IN, Jamie Gray of Newburgh, IN, and Amy Jessup (Scott) of Princeton, IN; sons, John Anderson (Diann) of Buckskin, IN and Joey Anderson of Elberfeld, IN; grandchildren, Beth Strauser (Adam), Cecily Gray, Paige Gray, Ian Anderson, and Coretta Anderson; and great-granddaughter, Esmeralda Anderson.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Joseph Anderson; her parents; and sister, Norma White.
A celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor David Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Nobles Chapel.
Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until service time on Thursday at Browning Funeral Home.
