Phyllis Angeley, age 83, of Muleshoe, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born in Wellington, Texas, on January 29, 1942, to her loving parents, Marshal and Clotilde Milligan. She attended Muleshoe High School and went on to attend Texas Technological College in Lubbock, Texas.
Phyllis married the love of her life, Ken Angeley, on August 19, 1961. Together, they built a beautiful life in the Pleasant Valley area. After raising her children, she started a craft shop in Muleshoe with her dear friend Nelda Jane. Hidden Talents was a wonderful place where Phyllis's creativity flowed freely and where dreams were turned into art. After many years of creating alongside her lifelong friend, Phyllis went on to work at Western 66 for nearly 20 years as a bookkeeper.
Phyllis was a fierce competitor in all she did. A game of Uno was never just a simple pastime; it was as intense as the final round of a rodeo. And Bingo? That was her championship ride. Bingo night with Phyllis felt like Saturday night at the arena, full of grit, luck, and a whole lotta hollering when she won. She believed in luck, especially when it came in the form of a $5 scratcher. Along with her love of competition and chance, sweets and a Dr. Pepper on ice were rarely turned down, thanks to her sweet tooth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Angeley, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Gina Wilkerson and her husband, Ronnie; her son, Ronnie Angeley and his wife, Shelly; and her son, Michael Angeley and his wife, Tammi.
Her grandchildren include Kolby Wilkerson and his wife, Brittni; Maddie Garcia, Kennon Angeley, and Charley Angeley; and Kenzie Kemp and Kohl Angeley.
Her great-grandchildren include Kallan, Berklee, Brynlynn, Blakley, Korbin, and Kreighton Wilkerson, and Rhett Kemp.
A celebration of Phyllis's life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the home of Brian and Tiffany Boehning, located at 691 County Road 55, Earth, Texas.
