Morris Funeral Home (Kramer) - MonticelloPhyllis R. Appleby, 91, of Monticello, Iowa passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at home.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Monticello, Iowa, followed by a private burial.
Phyllis was born on May 26, 1934, in Cascade, IA, daughter of Edmond and Cleo (McNally) Lasche. She graduated from St. Martin’s in Cascade in 1952. She got her nursing degree from Mt. Mercy in Cedar Rapids, IA in 1955 and took great pride in her career.
Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Don Appleby; children: Kymm Appleby, Luann (Pat) Brown, Terri (Terry) Pizinger, Tom (Sue) Appleby, and a daughter-in-law, Theresa Appleby; 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Phyllis joins her son Dan in the arms of our Lord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Monticello EMTs or Monticello Police Department, both at 201 E South Street, Monticello, Iowa 52310.
