Phyllis Ann Baldwin, 69, a resident of North Vernon, Indiana, passed from this life at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, at I.U. Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Phyllis was born in Columbus, Indiana, July 2, 1954, the loving daughter of Daniel L. Baldwin and Marjorie Ann Cooper Davis.
Phyllis graduated from Columbus High School. She had a career in manufacturing; she was a machinist at Cummins Engine Company and Boyer Machine & Tool Company Inc.
Phyllis enjoyed antiquing, fishing and watching western movies. She rarely ever missed an episode of Gunsmoke. Phyllis will be remembered as a talented woodworker and for her many beautiful treasures that she so gracefully crafted, many of which are still in her family.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sister, Janet Sue (Allen) Kelley of Hope; brother, Danny Lee Baldwin of Bedford; nieces and nephews, Lori Henderson of Hope, Kim (Clayton) Oliphant of Columbus, Chad (Callie) Baldwin of Indianapolis, Melissa Baldwin of Muncie, Michelle Baldwin of Muncie and Ashlee Spears of Muncie; and many aunts, uncles, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Ann Davis; father, Daniel L. Baldwin; and her brother, Timothy Baldwin.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Following the visitation, cremation will take place. Private inurnment will be in Section 83 at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charities.
