Phyllis Boughter

Phyllis Boughter passed away on Sunday February 8th, 2026 at the age of 85.

She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Boughter and the cherished mother of Kevin Boughter (Caroline Scott) and the late Brian Boughter. Phyllis was a devoted sister to Bob Evancho (Anne Marie), Kathy Chmura, and Dianne Cepik (Tim), and a loving aunt to Brad, Stacie, Nikki, Derek, and Chelsea (Dillon). She was also a proud great-aunt to Chloe, Jack, Jamie, Blake, and Noah.

The daughter of Eva and George Evancho, Phyllis was deeply proud of her German heritage and carried those traditions with strength, grace, and love throughout her life. She held a natural matriarchal role in her family, offering guidance, stability, and unconditional support to all who knew her. Phyllis was known for her warm heart, deep spirituality, and her gift for making others feel truly heard. She was easy to talk to, always offering a listening ear and gentle wisdom. Her love of cooking brought family and friends together around the table, where memories were made and laughter was shared. A lifelong pet and animal lover, she had a special compassion for animals.

Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 6750 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134 with a visitation prior, beginning at 9:00 AM at the church. A Committal service will take place on Monday February 23, 2026 at12:45 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273. Please meet at the cemetery by 12:30 PM.
