Phyllis Bell Coleman of Dover, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday June 4th, 2023 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital. Born on May 17th, 1931 in Dover, NH, she was the daughter of Theodore Wallace and Esther May Marden.
Phyllis worked at Textron of Dover, NH for 26 years before retiring. Her two greatest passions, besides her large family, were knitting, and travel. Phyllis traveled all over the world and had a goal of visiting all 50 states. Some of her favorite locations were Australia, Ireland, and Scotland. She enjoyed traveling her husband, three times, to Alaska in the motorhome. Phyllis enjoyed entertaining her grandkids in the backyard pool in the summertime, hosting Trick-or-Treating, Thanksgiving dinner, and celebrating their accomplishments. She was a part of many social groups and enjoyed line dancing.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Theodore and Esther, her loving husband of many years, Edward H. Coleman, her siblings John Woods, Vivian Chick, Rose McGowen, and Janet Sewall, her son Michael George Coleman, and her grandson Michael Coleman.
Phyllis was part of a large and loving family and is survived by her children Edward (Debra) Coleman Jr., San-Dee (Lanse) Browne, Lori (Steve) Smith, and Steve (Jessica) Coleman, grandchildren Amy Pendolino, Edward Coleman III, Dean Lamb, Mandy Coleman, Travis Coleman, Meagen Moriarty, Adrienne Pond, Tracy Smith, and Paige Smith, as well as several great grandchildren.
Phyllis Coleman will be greatly missed by not only her family, but her friends, and the community she was a part of. There will be a celebration of life planned by her family at a later date.
