Bennye and I still laugh when we recall how Phyllis accidentally dialed 911 instead of area code 919 one night when we were traveling in Montana. When she realized what she'd done, she hung up, but the police showed up at the hotel room in about 20 minutes. Phyllis explained her mistake and all was well!

What a great lady. We have many great memories of Phyllis and Mickey. I'm sorry we didn't get to see her more.

Phyllis loved to travel. We took a sisters' trip almost every year. She loved Jackson Hole and Yellowstone in Wyoming; Glacier National Park in Montana; Arches, Bryce, and Zion National Parks in Utah, Grand Canyon in Arizona; Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, Mesa Verde, Four Corners, Pike's Peak, Acadia National Park in Maine, and our very favorite - Banff and Jasper National Parks in beautiful Alberta, Canada. She was such a blessing in our lives. Had such a wonderful sense of humor. A bright and shining candle has gone out. But when Bennye and I travel together now, Phyllis will go with us in spirit - on angel's wings.
