Phyllis Gaylor Obituary

PHYLLIS CHERYL GAYLOR
May 9, 1947 ˜ December 11, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we share the passing of Phyllis Gaylor on Dec. 11, 2023. Phyllis was born to Phillip, Sr. and Marjorie Brown on May 9, 1947, in McMinnville, OR.
After spending most of her life in Oregon, Phyllis happily settled in Vancouver, WA, when she married Bud Gaylor on Sept. 12, 1990. Upon Bud’s retirement, Phyllis took the opportunity to leave her career as a material planner at Freightliner Trucks. This awarded them time together to travel, golf, volunteer at local elementary schools, and spend countless hours with their grandchildren. Phyllis excelled at creating fun for the grandchildren, including “House Olympics,” “Deal or No Deal,” cookie decorating, and many other memorable family events. She was a caring, thoughtful, dedicated, fun-loving individual who is deeply missed beyond belief.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Terry (Kyle), Kathi (Randy), Krista (Jay) and Michelle (Roger); her sons, Jon (Claire) and Brent (Samantha); sister, Kae (Bruce); brother, Phillip, Jr.; her lifelong best friend Kathy (John); 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; sisters, Jean and Lilly; and daughter, Cindy.
No funeral will be held at Phyllis’s request.
