Phyllis Francine Gentry, 85, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Croatan Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Phyllis was born on March 17, 1940, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Earl and Agatha O’Boyle. Born and raised in Morehead City, Phyllis developed a lifelong love for the coast. She especially enjoyed spending time by the shore, searching for and collecting seashells, each one a small treasure that she cherished.
Phyllis was known for her caring nature and tidy spirit, she took pride in keeping things clean and welcoming for her family and friends. Phyllis will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and gentle heart.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gary Gentry of the home; and son, Michael Eason Ballou (Cory) of Hawaii.
