It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sheli Guthrie Nix, 53, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Born on May 23, 1972, in Morehead City, Sheli was the beloved daughter of the late Ernest E. Guthrie and Linda Guthrie.
A creative spirit, Sheli enjoyed crafting and was known for her beautiful creations. Her keen eye for design and her passion for decoration transformed every space she touched.
Always on the go, Sheli enjoyed keeping busy. She loved the beach where she went often with her best friend, Darlene. They enjoyed walking along the shore and capturing moments through photography. Sheli's love for travel took her on many journeys, always seeking the thrill of a new experience.
Above all, Sheli will be remembered for her huge heart, immense kindness and the deep love she held for her family. As a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she poured her heart into family, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
