Phyllis Guevremont

Phyllis A. (Knowlton) Guevremont, 79, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was the loving wife of Paul Guevremont, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Norwich, CT, she was the daughter of the late Milo and Arlene (Lillie) Knowlton.

Phyllis was a remarkably strong woman and a two-time cancer survivor. An avid cross-stitcher, she also enjoyed reading, playing Solitaire, and coloring. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her husband and children. Phyllis and Paul enjoyed many miles together traveling to various coffee shops and lunch spots; their favorite stop was always The Flour Girl in Hebron, CT.

In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her children: Barry (Ann) Guevremont of North Carolina; David (Michelle) Guevremont of North Carolina; Amy Panciera (Kevin Johnston) of Rhode Island; and Tammy (Mark) Dutka of Connecticut. She was the proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many and the last surviving sibling of the Knowlton clan. She also leaves behind her much-loved, 'evil' cat, Ginger.

Per her wishes, services have been respectfully omitted. Cremation services have been entrusted to Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home in Plainfield, CT.
