Phyllis J. Hazleton, 95, of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday morning, April 8, 2023, a patient at Birchwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.
Born July 17, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Frances Maffett Patterson.
Phyllis and her husband, Robert G. Hazleton, were married 71 years. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2022.
Her main interest in life was her home and family. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Nanticoke, until its closing.
She will be missed by her children, Kevin Hazleton and wife, Karen, Nanticoke; Keith Hazleton and wife, Connie, Dallas; and Karla Otway and husband, David, Nanticoke; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Ann Madl and husband, David, Mountain Top; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Hazleton; a brother, Norman Patterson; and a sister, Gladys Raspen.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Carol Coleman, pastor of Wyoming United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Carol Folk, pastor of Huntsville United Methodist Church, officiating.
Friends may call for visitation from 6 p.m. to service time.
Private interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery.
