Phyllis Naomi Hubbard

Phyllis Naomi Stevens Hubbard, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Norfolk, VA on May 18, 2023 at the age of 66.
Phyllis was born on December 19th, 1956, in Baltimore, MD, to Joan Semone Stevens and Robert M. Stevens, Sr. She graduated from high school and went on to work as an Accounting Tech in Civil Service before retiring. Phyllis loved spending her free time outside and sitting by the pool. She had a special love for her family, always making sure they were taken care of, and enjoyed shopping.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Semone Stevens, and her son, Brandon J. Hubbard. She is survived by her husband of more than forty-six years, Joseph Hugh "Butch" Hubbard, her daughter, Emily Garrenton (Andy), of Elizabeth, NC, stepsons Trevor Hubbard (Jeanie), of Rome, GA, Jason Hubbard (Gigi), of Cartersville, GA, grandchildren Madelyn and Aubrey Garrenton, Jana Brewer (Josh), Cameron Bradley (Tyler), Caroline Barrett (Cody), Chandler Hubbard, Kyle Hubbard (Ashley), and Connor Hubbard, five great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert M. Stevens, Jr., of Crownsville, MD, Timothy J. Stevens, of Eldersburg, MD, her dear friends, who were like family to her, Ken Willingham, of Cochran, GA, and Robert and Orlena Raper, of Elizabeth City, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A private family gathering, in Phyllis' honor, will be held at a later date. Although she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
