Phyllis LaVon (Rudolph) Hubing, 88, of Circle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2025 at the McCone County Health Center.

Phyllis was born in Wolf Point, Montana on August 14, 1936 to Elmer and
Bertha (Toots) Rudolph. Elmer commented he had $7 left when he brought Toots and Phyllis home.

Phyllis grew up on the farm northwest of Circle where she was later joined by her brother, Tom. She and Tom rode horses to school with their Mom who was their teacher at Duck Creek school then later at Fountain School. She would tell stories of the shenanigans they got up to as children with Tom being the "mastermind" and her as the "stuntman" usually. There were also several stories of her driving skills coached by her brother. She enjoyed riding her horse Lady and the farm/ranch life. She graduated from Circle High School in 1954. Mom was a proud Circle Wildcat all her life and was excited to ride on the McCone County Healthcare float in the Town and Country Day parade a few years ago in her Wildcat gear. She attended Nurses training in Miles City at the Presentation School of Nursing graduating in 1957. Part of her training was in Aberdeen, South Dakota and the nursing students rode the train from Miles to Aberdeen. She then worked for 5 years in various places including Yosemite Park, Cut Bank and Circle.

While working in Circle, she became reacquainted with Dale Hubing and they were married June 23, 1962. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary this year. Phyllis and Dale had 5 children, Patsy, Cathy, Renee, Jon and Sherri. Family was everything to Mom and she spent many hours helping her children in their pursuits of rodeo, 4-H, and school activities. She faithfully kept times and scores for all the rodeo events for many years, even after the kids weren't participating anymore. Mom served many years as a 4-H Leader and made multiple trips to Bozeman to 4-H Congress as a chaperone. She was a long time member of Summit Homemakers Club, the Circle Cowbelles, as well as, an active member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was also very involved with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Mom and Dad missed very few of the grandkids' school programs and events. She loved celebrating birthdays, Christmas and Easter with family. She never missed sending a box of goodies to the grand and great-grandkids on Valentine's Day or Halloween. She was quick with a smile, had a great sense of humor and was the most selfless, gracious and generous person. Her never-give-up attitude was an inspiration to many. She spent her spare time knitting; Dad, the kids and grandkids all had sweaters and scarves and all of the great grandkids have cross stitched baby blankets.

When her children were older, Phyllis returned to nursing and worked 8 years at the McCone County Nursing Home and then served on the Nursing Home board for 9 years.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Toots Rudolph, father and mother-in-law Bert and Helene Hubing. Brother and sisters-in-laws Ann Conger, Robert Hubing, Jean Dekker, and Corky LaRowe Jensen.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Dale of 63 years, her children Patsy (Duane) White, Cathy (David) Workman, Renee Solberg, Jon (Tara) Hubing and Sherri (Pat) Eggebrecht, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Alison (Morgan) Strauser- Hayden, Molly, Dacen and Dylann, Amy (Sarah-Anne) Solberg- Rhett, Tanner Solberg, Tandie (Nathan) Molyneaux- Everly, Charsi (Sam) Shearer, Carissa Workman, Chantz Hubing, Blayne (Haven) Hubing, Evan (Maggie) Eggebrecht and Tyler Eggebrecht.
