Phyllis J. "Myers" Kruszewski

Phyllis J. (Myers) Kruszewski, 88, of South Bend passed away on Wednesday September 24, 2025, at Majestic Care of South Bend.

Phyllis was born in Mishawaka on December 2, 1936, to Raymond and Adeline (Hiler) Myers. Her grandparents were William I & Ida Myers of Mishawaka and Charles Hiler of Walkerton, IN.

After High School she entered the insurance business for 30 years where she worked for State Farm agents before retiring in 2011.

Phyllis married Duane Radzikowski Sr. where she was blessed with two children and then married Henry "Hank" Kruszewski who preceded her in death in 2002.

Phyllis was a faithful member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church of South Bend where she served as a Deacon.

Phyllis was survived by her sons, David Radzikowski and Duane Radzikowski Jr. of Lexington, SC, as well as stepchildren Donna (David) Woods and Henry Kruszewski Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Krystal, Grant, Jackie, Garrett, Heather, Shawn, Erik, Kimberly, and Nicole as well 7 great grandchildren. Her brother, Dr. Raymond (Paulette) Myers, also survives. Her dear niece and friend Professor Debbie (Don) Brooks remained a lifetime confidant.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hank, and her daughter in law Janet Radzikowski as well as her sister, Patricia (Myers) Atwood.

Memorial visitation will be held from 1pm-3pm on Wednesday October 15, 2025, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. A memorial service will begin at 3pm at the funeral home with a lunch immediately after. Burial will follow at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
