Jerome "Jerry" Kruszewski

Jerome (Jerry) Kruszewski, 81, of Erie, went to be with his Savior on August 31, 2025, after a valiant struggle with Parkinson's disease. Born and raised in Erie, he was the son of the late Jerome and Virginia Kruszewski.

Jerry dedicated his life to education as both a respected teacher and administrator, earning his master's degree in education and administration. A lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, he especially loved cheering for Duke basketball and enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and tennis. In his youth, he excelled in basketball and baseball at Cathedral Prep.

He was also a true movie buff who appreciated the classics, especially fond of horror films-and was never without his favorite snacks while watching, particularly cookies.

Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Vietnam veteran.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anita DeRemer and Louise Stein. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judith (Bobrowicz); his sister, Mary Kraft (John) of Yardley, PA; his brother, Karl Kruszewski of Wattsburg, PA; his children: Brian (Melissa) of Harborcreek and Amy Nolan (Joe) of Lawrence Park; and his cherished grandchildren: Karter, Aleksander, and Kasey Kruszewski of Harborcreek, and Laila, Elijah, and Jocelyn Nolan of Lawrence Park. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jerry's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, aides, and staff at Ball Pavilion at Brevillier Village for the compassion and care he received during his time there.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd.) on Thursday, September 4th from 3 to 7 PM and are further invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. James RC Church, 2635 Buffalo Rd. on Friday at 10:30 AM. Military honors will follow rendered by American Legion Carl Neff Post #571. A private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
