Phyllis Lewis

Phyllis Kistler Lewis, 89, born in Guilford County and raised in Randleman. She died peacefully on January 25, 2026 at Linden Place Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Phyllis was born on December 16, 1936 in High Point, N.C., to Dr. Clyde Dewey (C.D.) Kistler and Inez VanWerry Kistler.

Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, and woman of strong faith. She graduated Salutatorian in her graduating class at Randolph High School. She graduated undergraduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Home Economics and later she returned and received her Masters Degree from UNCG in Housing & Design. Her first marriage was to Dr. Jerry Lynn Corbin, and together they shared 10 years and raised three children in Greensboro. Phyllis later married Manley C. Lewis on Christmas Eve in 1985 after a 20 year relationship. They built a farm in Pleasant Garden and created a life centered on family, friends and their shared devotion to Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Jerry Lynn Corbin, and her second husband, Manley C. Lewis. She is survived by her children, Lynn Corbin Beeson (Jim), Dr. Stanley Cameron Corbin and Alicia Ann Corbin; brother, Clyde Dewey Kistler Jr. (Carol); and two grandchildren, Corbin Ryan Beeson and Carter Elliot Beeson. In addition, her niece, Amie K. Sullivan & nephew, Tyson D. Kistler.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at Forbis and Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel with a Funeral Service to immediately follow at 1:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro, NC.
