Phyllis K. Medley

POLAND – Phyllis K. Medley, 82, of Riverview Lane, passed away on March 19, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Medley was born on April 27, 1939 in Utica, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Carnivale) Cittadino. She received her education from Utica Catholic Academy and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant. On April 17, 1980, Phyllis was united in marriage with Douglas J. Medley in Poland. She worked for various health care facilities including, St. Elizabeth's emergency room, Eden Park Nursing Home, and Heritage Health Care Center. She was last employed as a home health aide for Visiting Nurses Association, Utica. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the casino, and family gatherings. Mrs. Medley was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors besides her husband of 41 years, Doug, include four children, Dee (Craig) Gray of Deerfield, Larry Dexter of Herkimer, Dave (Lora) Dexter of Cold Brook, and Kim (Chris) Millington of Frankfort; two step children, Jonathan (Beverly) Medley of Jacksonville, FL, and Christian Medley of Ballston Spa; three sisters, Margaret "Mary" Napoli of New Hartford, Diane Fidell of Rome, and Rosanne McShane of FL; nine grandchildren, Josh, Megan, Jillian, Austin, Karlie, Christopher, Connor, Larissa, and Chase; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by a son, Joseph Dexter; and two sisters, Kathleen White and Ginny Sisti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Church, Newport on Thursday, March 24 at 9:00 a.m. with Father Terence Healy and Deacon Jim Bower officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
