Phyllis E. Morris

Phyllis Evelyn Morris (nee Veatch) age 86, went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. She has been released from the physical afflictions that kept her from enjoying the lifestyle that she loved.
Survived by her husband, Ike; children, Allen (Rosemarie) Morris, Brian (Donna) Morris, Cary (Christine) Morris, DeAnn Lalla, and Erika (Lance) Dickinson; half-sister, Donna Webb. She delighted in counting her growing family that included 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Daniel J. Veatch, Maxine Danihel, and Kenneth Veatch, and a son-in-law, Robert Lalla.
Phyllis was born February 18, 1938, to Daniel P. and Evelyn L. (Seiler) Veatch in Lemont, Illinois. She married Earl "Ike" Morris in 1957, and they celebrated their 67th anniversary this past May. Phyllis was a secretary and bookkeeper for First Assembly of God in Joliet for many years. She then went on to be a bookkeeper for Praise Center Church in Ottawa, until her final retirement.
Visitation for Phyllis will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. There will be a Memorial Service for Phyllis at a later date, for those who cannot attend the services.
