Phyllis Nazzery Obituary

Born in Brooklyn, Phyllis had lived in Haledon since 2001 and was a member of the AME Zion Baptist Church in Paterson.
Phyllis was the beloved mother of Virginia Curry of Haledon and Dwayne Nazzery of South Carolina. Loving grandmother of Shantel, Shani, My-Zhon, Dwanayzha, Teshawn, Diamond, Jordan, Troy. Phyllis is survived by her brother Clarence and was preceded in death by her brother Solomon and her sisters Evelina and Merla.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne. Interment will follow at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00-7:00pm.
