Phyllis Palmisano passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on December 5, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Eugene and Miriam Spizzirri. Phyllis was a resident of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Franklin Park, Illinois. She was a devoted wife to the late Lawrence Palmisano and a wonderful mother to her son Larry (Antonia) Palmisano and her late son Jerry (Kathy Evans-Palmisano) Palmisano; she is also survived by her grandchildren: Alexandra (Kyle Moll) Palmisano Moll, Thomas (fiancée Torey Braly) Palmisano, Bianca (Beth Kitchin) Palmisano, and Dana (Trinh Nyugen) Palmisano; and her great-granddaughters Lily and Mira Nyugen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her siblings John Spizzirri, Barbara Jurczak, and Richard Spizzirri. Phyllis loved spending time with family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association.
