Phyllis Pollo Obituary
She married Joseph Pollo (deceased) on June 26, 1954 in Staunton. Daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Price) Smith, she is survived by two sons: Brian (Kathy) Pollo of Mt. Olive, IL and Mark (Tammy) Pollo of St. Jacob, IL, one grandchild: Renee (Ramey) Schuker of St. Charles, MO; stepsister Joyce Fernandes of Springfield, IL and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Pollo, Debra Pollo (daughter), Randall Pollo (infant son), David Ramey (grandchild) and John Wiersma (stepbrother).
Phyllis was a devout Christian of the Pentecostal faith, a member of the local Red Hats Society and garden club. She was known for her love of children and cooking. It was her lifelong custom that if you came to visit, you could not leave without having a meal with our family.
A private graveside service will be held with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
