Phyllis A. Sallee, 85, of Mifflintown, passed away at 4:05 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 5, 1941, in Mifflintown, Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida (Moyer) Zimmerman. On June 27, 1959, she married her late husband, Allen Louis Sallee with whom she was blessed to share over 63 years of marriage before his passing on December 18, 2022.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy J. Fry, Susan M. Taylor and her husband Mike, and Barbara L. Brown and her husband Jeff, all of Mifflintown; six grandchildren, Annie and her husband Greg, Jamie and her husband Bryan, Shellie and her husband Tim, Hope and her husband Matt, Bentley, and Lilly; seven great grandchildren, Gianna, Alaria, Landon, Cecelia, Reed, Skyla, and Lorenzo; one step great grandson, Peyton; two siblings, Carole Baxton and Ira Zimmerman; and many generations of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Emily Fry; and one sister, Gladys Porter.

Mrs. Sallee was a 1959 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown and, in earlier life, was employed at Stop 35 in Mifflintown and was then employed and retired as a Restaurant Supervisor for the former Family House Restaurant in Mifflintown.

Phyllis had attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Mifflin and for over 45 years was the Judge of Elections for Fermanagh Township.

She enjoyed going to the beach, sewing, crossword puzzles, and serving others; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 304 Juniata St., Mifflin with Pastor Mindy Petrovcic officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Sallee's memory may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 304 Juniata St., Mifflin, PA 17058 or to the Juniata County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 44, Mifflintown, PA 17059.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
