Mrs. Phyllis Ann (VanDeMark) Seamans, age 87, of Wyalusing, PA, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, March 18, 2026, at her home, with her loving family at her side.
Phyllis was born June 28, 1938, in Wilmot, Bradford County, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethlyn Potter VanDeMark.
She married Gary Lee Seamans on June 7, 1968, and Gary predeceased her on April 2, 2024.
Phyllis worked for many years at Honchell’s Market in Wyalusing and later worked at Physician Care in Wyalusing. She enjoyed working and did so until she retired at the age of 72.
She was a very talented and creative person. She had many gifts and was a great crafter and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed participating in many craft shows in the area. Among her many talents, she enjoyed sewing, reupholstering furniture and baking many wedding cakes. As an artist she also made many beautiful paintings.
She loved to travel and flew many times to South America as well as Florida. In her last years, she loved to spend all the special moments in life with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Hollenback United Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Robert Allen Bahr and James Edward Bahr.
Phyllis leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly and cherish her memory forever; her sons, Michael (Nancy) Bahr of Prattsburgh, NY and Randy (Shirley) Bahr of New Albany, PA; daughter, Lauri (Carlos) Davila of Altamonte Springs, FL; daughter-in-law Christie Bahr of Owego, NY; sister Carol (Larry) Franklin of Laceyville, PA; and sister-in-law: Ann VanDeMark of Syracuse, NY: brother-in-law Jerry Lee of New Albany. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 12:00 Noon, at the Homer Funeral Home, 83 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA, with her son, Pastor Michael Bahr, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wyalusing Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 12:00 noon in the Homer Funeral Home, Wyalusing, PA.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, 83 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, PA.
