Phyllis Spencer Obituary

Phyllis June Spencer, 82, passed away on February 23, 2026, in Longview, Washington. Born on July 17, 1943, Phyllis went to school at Sedro Wooley High School and built a remarkable career alongside her family. She served as the office manager of Spencer's Body Shop in Kelso before becoming Vice President of Spencer's Trucking & Excavating, Inc.

Phyllis was a devoted wife to her husband, Tom Spencer, and a loving mother to her sons Tim and Tony. She was also cherished by her 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her sons David Spencer and Thomas Spencer Jr.

Phyllis found joy in life's adventures and shared her passions with those she loved. She was a beautiful singer and she sang at churches when she was younger. And sang on the local radio station and won many talent contests singing. She enjoyed bowling, sand railing, snowmobiling, traveling, camping, and spending time at the beach and dunes. Her warmth and love for being surrounded by friends and family left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

A viewing will be held on March 13, 2026, at Steele Chapel Cemetery at 5050 Mt Solo Road in Longview, WA. A memorial service will follow on March 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at Steele Chapel Cemetery.

Phyllis's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her legacy of love and adventure bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
