Phyllis Ann Williams, 65, died Wednesday, September 18,2024 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Phyllis was born on August 9,1959 in Clyo, GA and lived in Guyton, GA for the remainder of her life. She attended Effingham County High School and worked for Effingham County Board of Education for 21 years.
On March 21,1987 Phyllis was baptized as Jehovah's Witness and was a member of Springfield and Faulkville Congregations serving Jehovah for 37 years until her untimely death.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Nathaniel Young I; and brother, Michael Young.
Phyllis leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, Eddie Williams of Guyton,GA; her 5 children with Eddie: Alfreda Williams of Guyton,GA, Ramon(Shaunte) Williams of Ludowici,GA, Andre (Jillyan) Williams of Springfield, GA, Jessica (Ja'son ) Sample of Savannah,GA, and Amanda Williams of Springfield, GA; 16 grandchildren: Tangelia Williams;Rashawn and Christopher Robinson, Ty'Meria Grimes, Artricia, Aileena,Daisha, Ramona, and Destany Williams, Jayel Stephens, Jada Williams,Ja'Mario Sample, Da'Shaun and Dominick Atkins, Derrick and Amiyah Williams; 2 great grandchildren: Zy'Quan Grimes and Azaliah Thomas. Succeeded by her mother, Julia L. Young , of North Carolina; 4 sisters, Loretta Y. Scott,of Clyo, GA, Jane Y. Seabrian,of Savannah, GA, Katherine (Anthony) Barnes,of Sylvania,GA, Julie Young,of Rincon,GA;4 brothers: John Young,of Clyo, GA, Jerry Young,of Clyo, GA, Nathaniel Young II,of North Carolina, and Rickie Young,of North Carolina; In- Laws: Katie Mae Adams,of Florida, Regina (Lanier Jr.)White,of Springfield,GA, Helen(David) Mckenzie,of Alabama, John(Lisa) Williams,of New York, Henry (Barbara) Crawford,of Statesboro,GA , and Ruby A. Walls,of Clyo,GA; Special niece, Renee Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM to 2:00PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall -Faulkville.
