Phyllis Carlissa Smullen-Wilson was the third child of the late Warren Smullen, Jr. and the late Annie Mae Smullen. She was born on April 19, 1965 in Salisbury, MD. She departed this earthly life on Monday, December 22, 2025.
She received her education in Wicomico County Public School System of Salisbury, MD. She was a member of New Bethlehem Church in Florence, SC. Phyllis previously worked at New Genesis.
Phyllis Smullen-Wilson is preceded in death by her father, Warren Smullen, Jr.; her mother, Annie Mae Smullen and sister, Portia Smullen.
She is survived by her husband Gus Wilson, her four daughters, Erica Abalama (Lani Abalama), Ashley Salgado, Mercedes Battle, Terri Heywood; eleven grandchildren; sister, Pamela Maddox, Patrisha Lecato (Kevin Lecato) Carlos Smullen (Michelle Purnell-Smullen) and fifteen nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Phyllis has left a profound impact on everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
