Phyllis M. Zemore

Phyllis Marie (Pastor) Zemore, age 87, passed away on February 19, 2026, in Tawas, Michigan. She was born on October 19, 1938, to Andrew and Elizabeth (Bodner) Pastor in Owendale, MI. She married Richard J. Zemore on August 22, 1959, in Flint, MI. Phyllis worked in administration for an employment agency until her retirement. She was a long-time resident of Whittemore, MI. Phyllis was an active member of St. James Catholic Church in Whittemore, MI as well as St. Pius Catholic Church in Hale, MI. She volunteered her time and attended social events at both churches. She was loved by her church family and community.

Phyllis is survived by her sons Greg and Mike, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her brother Don.

In addition to her husband Richard, she is preceded in death by her sons Jeff and Ken, brother Andy and her parents Andrew and Elizabeth.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 and ending at the time of mass at 11:00. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to St. Pius Catholic Church.
