Pierre Bereni Obituary

Visit the Church & Chapel Funeral Home - New Berlin website to view the full obituary.
Pierre Philippe Joseph Bereni joined his wife, Susan (nee Doberstein), on July 28, 2025. He was only 82 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Pierre was born January 13, 1943, in Corsica, France.

Pierre is survived and missed by his daughters, Nicole, Suzette, and Michelle. Forever remembered by his granddaughters, Meghan, Alyssa, and Tonya. Deeply loved and missed by his sister Renee (Wes) Koenig, and brother Louis.

He has a special place in the hearts of his nephew, Matthew Koenig, niece Jesica (Francis) Davanza, and his great niece Bella.

Not sure if he adopted us or we adopted him, but he was always a part of the Doberstein Family. Deeply missed by Jim (Lynda) Doberstein, Patricia Paul, Nancy (Perry) Mueller, Tom (Sharon) Doberstein and Daniel Doberstein.

Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; near and far.

Preceded in death by his parents, Antoinette (Almfranchi) and Pilippe Bereni, his sisters Jeanette (Bert) Russ and Josephine Goerne, and brother-in- law, John Doberstein.

Pierre has always led a very "colorful" and "exciting" life. It all started when he arrived in America from Corsica, France in 1950. Speaking fluent French at the age of seven he started grammar school with no English language skills. Quickly learning English, he proceeded to graduate from Kenosha HS and continued to attend his high school annual reunions.

Pierre went on to pursue a successful career as an independent Snap-On-Tool dealer. Working with Snap-On and driving his daily route he made many new business contacts, met new customers, and maintained many of those friendships his entire life.

Many years later he traded in his Snap-On tool truck (the largest one on the road at the time) for a new two-wheeled vehicle with an engine, also known as Harley motorcycle.

And then, his ride began.

Working at The House of Harley (The House), Pierre met a new group of friends. The House became his new home. He was surrounded by great colleagues, motorcycle enthusiasts, and Harley owners.

Pierre was a proud and respected club member of Hell's Lovers. Participating in many rides that took him all over the country was his greatest joy.

His final ride was taken too soon,

but his spirit will forever ride with us.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 14, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, WI from 5-7pm, with a service to follow.

Private interment will take place at a later date at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
