Pierre Saget, affectionately known as "Roger" by his loved ones, was born on April 8, 1941, in Marchand-Dessalines, Artibonite, Haiti, to Mathilde Datilus and Pierre Saget Sr. On May 21, 2025, he transitioned from this life peacefully at Saint Charles Hospital, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.
In 2013, Pierre took a brave step and immigrated to the United States, embarking on a journey to create a new life grounded in hard work and unwavering family values. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish an export business, a true reflection of his determination and dedication to providing for his loved ones while giving back to his community.
Pierre was a deeply devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mary G Saget, and a proud father to ten wonderful children: Guerrier, Debora, Galate, Genese, Daniel, MaryLoucie, Miston, Dieumy, Jeff, and his late son Pierre Renet Saget. He shared a strong bond with his siblings, and his love transcended generations, extending to nieces, nephews, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is alive in the hearts of his children and loved ones, all of whom were profoundly touched by his kindness, guidance, and unwavering love.
To all who had the privilege of knowing him, Pierre Saget was more than an industrious family man and business owner; he was a pillar of strength, laughter, and inspiration. His kindness and generosity made a lasting impact on everyone he met. His foundation was rooted in a deep faith in God through Jesus Christ, which he graciously shared, inspiring those around him.
Pierre leaves behind his devoted wife, Mary G Saget, and his cherished children: Guerrier, Debora, Galate, Genese, Daniel, and MaryLoucie, as well as loving stepchildren Miston, Dieumy, and Jeff Pasius. He is also survived by his beloved great-grandchildren: Thierry Paul, Galingina Paul, Esna Bonet, Genevha Charles, Jacquera Charles, Wincesse Laura Charles, and his supportive siblings: Pastor Joseph R. Saget, Pastor Jeannot Saget, and Mrs. Anide Pierre (née Anide Saget). Additionally, he is lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who held him dear. The absence of his presence, laughter, and boundless love will be felt deeply by all who were graced with his company.
Pierre was predeceased by his devoted wife, his parents, and several dear siblings: Beauvoir, Chovèque, Roland, and Richard Saget, as well as Benita, Cléante, and Umène Saget Pierre. His heartache was further compounded by the loss of his cherished nieces and nephews, Phito Saget, Villaire Pierre, and Louisette Pierre.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the beautiful life of Pierre Saget "Roger" will be held from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 9:00 am on June 14, 2025, at L'eglise Baptiste de Jesus Christ, located at 1127 Rivington Street in Roselle, NJ 07203. A repass will follow immediately after the service. While we carry the weight of our grief, we find solace in the love he so generously shared and the cherished memories he leaves with us.
May his soul rest in eternal peace
