LIFE'S JOURNEY
"For nothing is impossible with God." – Luke 1:37
PJ began his tour of Duty on August 03, 1971, in Pine Bluff Arkansas to Pledger J. Miller, Sr. and Frankie Mae Miller. PJ confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a child at Barnett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. PJ later fellowshipped and served at Breath of Life under the leadership of Kerry Price, Sr., with his mother and siblings during his childhood.
PJ enjoyed spending quality time with his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, family and friends. PJ was often harassing and joking with family until they tuned him out or ran away from him. PJ enjoyed cracking jokes on his Devoted Mother to make her laugh, even if initially she was annoyed. PJ enjoyed swapping war stories, watching Westerns, fishing and enjoying a cold one with his Faithful Father. There was never a dull moment whenever PJ was around because he had a way of making every event LIT LIT when he was LIT LIT!
PJ stayed surrounded by his family. PJ took pride in serving his country and his family. PJ nursed his Big sister Shirley Jean in her final days with her bout with cancer. PJ was a caregiver, alongside his siblings, to his Praying Virtuous Mother as her health begin to decline, and he was there with his mother until the end. PJ was a Faithful, Loving Brother to his brother Gary, whom was his Hero, and he remained Loyal to Gary, even until his last breath. PJ enjoyed his children, and he was overjoyed being a dad at 50, and his youngest son Jacob changed PJ in ways that made him and his family Proud.
PJ received his education at Dollarway Public Schools. PJ attended HBCU University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff, where he was Affectionately and Intelligently known to carry a briefcase. PJ excitedly joined the Army National Guard where he was ranked as a Specialist 4th Class. PJ Proudly served his country, while in the National Guard, PJ did a Tour in Desert Storm and New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. PJ retired from the National Guard with an Honorable Discharge.
