Polly Lucille Coker, age 88, of Gillsville, passed peacefully on August 2, 2025, at her residence.
Polly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For over 30 years, Polly was a cherished member of the Hall County School System, serving as the front office secretary to the principal at Tadmore Elementary. Known for her vibrant smile, contagious laugh, and irresistible cakes and confections, Polly brought joy wherever she went. When she saw a need, she never hesitated to lend her time or talents to ensure the comfort of others. "Nanny's" house was filled with love and laughter more days than could ever be counted.
Polly is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ray Coker; her daughter, Andra Phagan (Tim); granddaughters, Tiffany Lacey (Tony) and Brittany Brown (Jay); and six great-grandchildren: Trent and Anna Claire Lacey, Lauryn Rae, Reagan, Riley, and C.J. Brown. Polly loved her siblings dearly and missed them all very much after their passing, Peggy Hicks, Sonny Buffington and Jerrie Maney.
A lifelong member of Lebanon Camp Meeting, Polly had celebrated 87 years of involvement. "Mrs. Polly's Tent" was always a place of welcome, warmth, and fellowship and plenty to eat!
Polly will be laid to rest among friends and family at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel from 1 pm until 2:30 pm. A graveside service will follow in the Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery at 3 pm.
