Kathryn Colleen Hartford “Polly” age 95 a lifelong resident of Wautoma passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Heartland House, Wautoma. She was born in Pine River on July 10, 1930 to Daniel and Loretta (Kelley) Chase. Polly graduated from Wautoma High School with the class of 1948. On March 8, 1952 she married Robert V. Hartford at the Methodist Church in Wautoma.
Polly and Robert enjoyed life on their farm in the town of Deerfield, where they lived for 53 years and raised their family. Polly worked as a Realtor for Brenner Realty, Waushara County Highway Department, Waushara County Health Services and Waushara County Welfare Department. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Grace United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Good Morning Circle. Polly was passionate about her family and friends, traveling with her husband Robert, and her second home and friends in Yuma, AZ. She was proud of her Irish ancestry, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and played a mean game of cards.
Polly is survived by her children: Sue (Wayne) Craig, Dan (James Crosby) Hartford; grandchildren: Dana Craig, Evan (Kristen) Craig; great grandchildren: Harrison and River Craig; other relatives and friends. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, and husband: Robert V. Hartford on September 26, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church with private family burial on Monday at Woodville Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
