Pompilio Pasquini passed away suddenly Friday December 20, 2024.
He is survived by his sister, Mariella Nigro, nieces Annamaria and Marina and nephew Neil, his aunt Gloria and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stella and Arturo and his sister Bernice Pasquini.
Pompilio was born in Italy during World War II. He was born on October 2, 1943 however because of the war he was registered on October 15, 1943. He was born in Villa Pasquini in the province of Chieti, Abruzzo Italy. He came to America at the age of 18 on the Leonardi Davinci Ship. He worked for Botany 500 and other companies at Broad St. and Lehigh Ave. for many years. He was enlisted in the United States Army during the 60s.
He was sworn in by former president Ronald Reagan when he became a U.S. citizen. He loved and studied astronomy. He enjoyed classical music and opera. He loved the shore and always rented a house in Ocean City NJ for his family and relatives every summer. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, December 30th from 9:30 to 10:30am at the Our Lady of Consolation Church, Tulip St. and Princeton Ave. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
