He was born on February 11, 1955, in Lansing, MI, the son of Merle "Curley" and Darlene (Robinson) Barger.
Surviving are his longtime partner of 40 years, Lynn Clark; step-children, David Clark and Angela Groves; step-granddaughter, Ashley (Daniel Sprat) Groves; step-great-granddaughter, Novalynn Spratt; sister, Cheryl (Tom) Whitmore; nieces, Felicia (Mike Henry) Whitmore and Jennifer Whitmore; grandnieces, Star and Isabella; great-niece, Galaxy; and great-nephew, Jackson.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Douglas Barger.
A service to celebrate Prent's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac. To share a memory or offer condolences, please visit Prent's personalized webpage at www.clarkch.com.
