Preston Acasio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral Center on Jan. 6, 2026.
Preston A. Acasio, age 76, passed away on December 8, 2025. Born on June 25, 1949, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he lived a life defined by hard work, service, and devotion to family.

He was a proud school teacher in the Philippines, where he dedicated himself to educating and guiding young minds. Upon his arrival in California, he became a bartender, then bar manager at Benihana for almost ten years. Later in life, he became a business owner, operating his own restaurant, and eventually found his long-term calling as an optician, a profession he practiced with care and integrity for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Teodora and Ernesto.

Beyond his professional life, he had a deep love for music and fashion, took great joy in eating good food, and found true happiness in cooking for those he loved. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family, creating memories that will be held close forever.

He is survived by his loving family: sister Donna and brother-in-law Louie; brother Pat and sister-in-law Yolly; nieces Beverly and Julie; and nephews Allan and Jeremy. He will be remembered fondly for his warmth, generosity, and the care he showed through both his work and his relationships. He will be missed dearly. May he rest in peace.

A viewing and vigil will be held on Thursday, January 15, at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 16, at 11:00 a.m. Another viewing will be held on Friday, January 16, at 9:00 am, prior to the funeral services. The viewing and funeral services will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch, California.

The family sincerely appreciates the love, prayers, and support during this time.
