Preston W. Anderson

Preston W. Anderson, 92, of Panama City, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025,surrounded by the love of his family.

Born July 5, 1933 in Bonifay, FL, to Earlie Preston and Cora Lee Moss Anderson, Preston lived a life defined by service, family, and love of country. A proud veteran, he faithfully served 22 years in the United States Air Force, including tours of duty in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. His devotion to his country was second only to the devotion he had for his family.

Preston was a friend to many and his love being outdoors was known to all - whether hunting, fishing, camping, traveling or gardening. He had a gift for making memories with his family and friends, and his legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on through them.

Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 39 years, Betty Anderson; his children, Kenneth Duane (Theresa), Mark (Brenda), Shelly, Lisa (Dwayne), Teresa (Bill), Mike (Rachel), Sandy (Paul), and CJ, whom he cherished like a son; and his many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who brought him endless joy

Preston was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie E. Anderson; his daughters, Carol Anderson and Patricia Forrester; his parents, Earlie Preston and Cora Lee Moss Anderson; and his brothers, Loy Be Anderson and David Anderson.

Preston's life will be honored in the memories and stories of those who loved him most. His unwavering love for his family, God, and his country will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025 at Kent- Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Adam Cabana officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that reflects Preston's lifelong dedication to his fellow veterans.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at Emerald Coast Hospice Care, as well as to Jigish Patel, MD, Charles Byron, PA, and their dedicated staff, for the exceptional care and kindness they provided.
