Preston Scott Mihaly

Preston "Scott" Mihaly was the kindest and sweetest soul born on February 15, 1996. He was a happy, loving baby and boy, so full of life. Sadly, Scott passed away on April 27, 2024. Scott always put everyone else's needs before his own. He would freely give his last dollar and food to the person next to him, so he or she wouldn't have to go without. Scott greatly enjoyed helping others and had such a giving heart. He loved very hard and hurt very deeply in turn. If Scott let you into his heart, you were there for good. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was known as everyone's brother. Scott loved to have a good time and had the best and most contagious laugh. He taught himself to play guitar and would spend hours plucking those guitar strings. He loved songs by Creed, Metallica and Everlast. Scott absolutely loved the beach and would spend as much time there as possible. He always said he would live there one day. His love for fishing, exploring the woods, camping at the lake and football ran deep. He had the most beautiful eyes, smile and heart. Scott is survived by his mother Allison Mihaly-Moore, his father Scott Moore, his father Jeremy Byrd, his sisters Jade Rubright, Abigayle Moore, Brittany Moore and Alex Moore, His "Maw" Brenda Ellington, Great Grandpa Charlie Barcia, Aunt Amanda~NayNay, Aunt Nicki~Nik Nik, Aunt Darci~Doe Doe, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Pam, Uncle Robert, Aunt Joan and Uncle Danny, Cousins Taylor, Paisley, Parker, Jewellen, William, and Ren, as well as his nieces, nephews and so many friends. Scott will be missed by so many and will forever be a part of our hearts and memories. A memorial service will be held for him so that all who loves him can come share in their memories. The Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, May 10, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Williamson St., Burlington, NC 27215.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be given in his honor.
