Preston B. Thompson Sr.

Preston B. Thompson Sr. 85 years young, passed away March 4, 2026, suddenly at home due to heart failure. He was born May 5, 1940, in Freeport Il, to parents George Thompson Sr. and Hazel Thompson (Kosier) of Freeport, Il.

Preston completed through grade level school in order to support his family. He married Nancy L. Cramer on June 11, 1966. Preston worked at Kelly Springfield Tire Co. now known as Titan Tires. He proudly worked there from 1969 retiring after 30 years in March 1999. After retirement, Preston enjoyed building things, keeping active, and spending time and caring for his family with pride.

Surviving are his children, son Preston Thompson Jr. (Cheryl Thomspon) of Gilbert, AZ, daughter Selena Beverley of Agusta, GA, daughter Veronica Truckenmiller (Steve Pro) of Freeport, IL. Grandchildren; Preston, Trevin (Devonie) and Sloane Thompson of AZ, Sara Beverley of Gilbert, AZ; Seth Beverley of Agusta, GA; Vaun Truckenmiller of Ladson, SC and Broc Truckenmiller (Madolyn LaDuca) of Gilbert, AZ. Great grandchildren Ashlinn, Holden, Hunter and Dahlia Gilbert, Az. Brother Richard Thompson of Freeport, IL.

Preston was recently preceded in death by his brother Donald Thompson and has reunited with all his other family members that have passed as well over the years.

Celebration of life will be determined in the near future as his wishes were cremation.
