Priscilla Bierhals

Priscilla "Judy" Ann Demchik Bierhals, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was born on Nov. 15, 1941, in Kittanning. She was the only daughter of the late Andrew Demchik and Helen (Grates) Demchik. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Har-Brach High School. After graduation, she immediately was hired into the steel industry, where she enjoyed a long and dedicated career of over 30 years with Allegheny Ludlum in inside sales. Judy was admired for her professionalism and commitment. She was a faithful servant of St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell and later St. Anselm Parish in St. Louis, MO. Beyond her faith and good works, Judy found her greatest joy and cherished moments in her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" and Sebastian. Her love for them was beyond measure. Judy always loved when their friends would come to visit and include her on the latest news. Judy was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 45 years, John Walter Bierhals; as well as her parents, Andrew and Helen Demchik. She is survived by her son, Dr. Andrew John Bierhals; and daughter-in-law, Dr. Maureen Ann Bierhals, both of St. Louis; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" Victoria Bierhals and Sebastian Andrew Bierhals, also of St. Louis. In keeping with Judy's wishes, there will be no visitation or formal service. The family asks that she be remembered for her devotion to her family, her resilience, her love of animals especially her dachshunds Rose, Daisy, and Brownie and the kindness she shared with all who knew her.
