Priscilla (Perk) Diana Hankins, a beacon of love and courage, left this world on December 9, 2025, at the age of 80, due to heart failure. Born on October 19, 1945, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Perk's life was a testament to her thoughtful nature and commitment to her family, faith, and community. She spent her final moments surrounded by the love of her family in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Perk's career encompassed a range of experiences that culminated in fulfilling career in telecommunications. Her professional life was characterized by diligence and forging a path for women working in a new, growing, male-dominated field. She had an exceptional ability to problem solve, embrace new information and connect with her colleagues, creating a workplace that felt more like a community.

Perk's faith was strong and guided her through both good and trying times. She lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and compassion to everyone she encountered. Her spirit touched and will be remembered by so many.

Perk's interests and involvements were as diverse as they were passionate. A lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Past Worthy Grand Matron of the State of Michigan, she devoted herself to the service and fellowship that the organization is known for. Her love for sewing transcended a mere hobby, as she generously contributed her time and talents to assist with designing and creating flags for Eastern Michigan University's Marching Band and costumes at the Michigan Ballet Academy. Her creativity was endless, delighting performers and enhancing productions.

Family was the cornerstone of Perk's world. She is survived by a family that not only grew from her love but also flourished because of it. She leaves behind her partner, Bill Bellairs, son Rob Travillian, daughter Heather Travillian (Doug Edick); her brother and sister in law Terry and Susan Basom; her grandchildren Justin Travillian (Kristina), Jennifer McGlone (Rocky), Nick Porter, Kyle Porter, and Sarah Porter; and 7 great grand children all of whom she adored and who will cherish her memory and legacy. Each family member carries forward a piece of Perk's loving spirit.

Perk's life was a canvas of courage, with bold strokes of love and quiet touches of thoughtfulness. She approached every challenge with a bravery that inspired those around her, and she met every person with a consideration that left them feeling valued and loved. Her legacy is one of a life well-lived and well-loved-a life that will continue to be celebrated by all who were blessed to know her.

As we bid farewell to Perk, we remember a life that shone brightly and touched many. She will be profoundly missed, and her memory will be a guiding light to all who were privileged to be part of her remarkable journey. Her impact on this world was as profound as it was loving, and her spirit will continue to live on through the lives of those she touched. Priscilla's passing is not just a moment of grief but also an opportunity to reflect on the beauty and strength that one life can possess and bestow upon others.

An Eastern Star Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, Perk's family asks that donations be made in her memory to Faith Hospice of Michigan, who provided loving, compassionate care for her.
