Mrs. Priscilla Duncan Pace, 72, known to all as Cindy, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Atlanta, GA.
Born on February 28, 1953, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Callie L. Duncan and Frances W. Duncan. Mrs. Pace was a graduate of T. L. Hanna High School, Clemson University, and Brenau University.
Mrs. Pace began her teaching career in Starr, SC, where she met her husband. They later settled in Hartwell, GA, where she spent more than 30 years in the classroom, leaving a lasting impression on many students and colleagues.
In retirement, Mrs. Pace continued her love of helping others by volunteering with her beloved dog, Tallulah, as a pet therapy team. She also found joy in reading, crafting, and spending time at the beach, a place she especially loved.
In the summer of 2024, she moved to be closer to her grandchildren.
Mrs. Pace was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Charles B. Pace.
Survivors include her two daughters, Amanda Shoemaker (Eric) of Decatur, GA, and Patricia "Patty" Pace of Greer, SC; her grandchildren, Olive and Milo Shoemaker; and her sister, Pat Stuart (Bill) of Anderson, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs or Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC).
