August 30, 1939 – March 14, 2026
Priscilla Shafer Jones Thompson, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children in Lexington, Kentucky.
Priscilla was born on August 30, 1939 in Ashland, Kentucky to Charles William Shafer and Alberta Mae (Evick) Shafer. She was a woman of deep faith who was raised in the Presbyterian tradition and carried those values throughout her life. Her quiet strength, devotion to family, and steadfast faith were guiding forces in her life.
She is survived by her children, William (Bill) Jones and Kathy Jones Kayson (Michael) as well as her grandchildren, Hunter Wesley Daniels and Rory Daniels and extended family who will remember her with love.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Wesley Jones and Jack Warren Thompson as well as both of her parents.
A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashland, Kentucky Thursday, March 19, 2026 at noon.
