Providence "Pearl" Riddle

Providence "Pearl" Riddle, age 86, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to Luciano Caracausi and Jenny (Lucido) Caracausi.

Providence was the loving wife of James Alvin Riddle and the devoted mother of five children: Debbie (Mark) Schlotterbeck, James (Natasha) Riddle, Michael (Sherry) Riddle, Robert (Amy) Riddle, and Randall Riddle.

She was also the proud grandmother of Madison Schlotterbeck, Cassidy Schlotterbeck, Maya Riddle, Isabella Riddle, Audrianah Riddle, Amanda Riddle, Brandon Riddle, Noah Riddle, Max Kurman, Raine Riddle, Vaida Riddle, and Ava Riddle.

Providence was the dear sister of the late Vita Coudriet and Joseph Caracausi, and is survived by her siblings Salvatore Caracausi, Ida Lucido, Grace Ciambelli, and Catherine (Sam) Wooten.

A devoted mother of five, Providence found fulfillment in serving others. She enjoyed working within the school system and was employed as a paraprofessional at Berkley High School. She also faithfully trained altar servers at Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church. Above all, Providence cherished time spent with her husband, James. The two especially enjoyed taking car rides together, sharing quiet moments side by side. Growing up alongside her brothers and sisters, Pearl held many fond memories and happy moments with her siblings that she carried with her throughout her life.

The family will receive friends at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 12 Mile Road, Berkley (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue) on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass for Providence will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 280 E. Square Lake Road, Troy, Michigan 48085, with instate beginning at 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:00 AM.

Private burial at Christian Memorial Gardens West.
