Anise Manuel Watha, a beacon of kindness and generosity, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, in
Royal Oak, Michigan, at the age of 68. Born on July 1, 1957, in Iraq to the late Manuel and Koji Watha. Anise's journey was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his hard work, and his compassionate spirit.
Anise's life was a testament to the power of love and commitment. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Nancy, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. Together, they raised a family that was the center of Anise's world. He was a guiding light to his children, Brian (Kaliegh), Peter (Lena), Paul (Natalie), Dominique (John) Putrus, Phillip (Christine), and Monica (Joey) Neimic. Anise was a cherished brother to Montsir (Thaira), Safa (Wala), Intesor (Esom) Shair, Wichdon (Nashwan) Hwier, Hanan (Rabah) Kirma, Anwar (David) Yeldoo, and the late Salam, Jose, and Mary Watha. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Garbia Watha, Jerry (Fattin) Watha, Sabri (Vergen) Watha and to the late Karim (Delaly) Dabish.
Anise's legacy is also lovingly remembered by his adoring grandchildren, Joey Jr., Zara, Noelle, Oliver, Gabriella, and Alice, who will carry forward the warmth and joy he brought into their lives. Anise's presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew him, and his influence will continue to be felt through the generations.
